How I Work
Although I’m called a coach, my approach is better encompassed by the term ‘mentor’ – “a wise and trusted counselor.”
As a mentor, I use my life wisdom and personal maturity, my wide ranging knowledge and background, my openness and flexibility, and my interpersonal skills – including an ability to deeply listen – to respond to the needs of the person who turns to me for guidance and support.
This support can be practical, psychological, spiritual, or artistic. More than anything, mentoring is the ability to see and shine a light on the highest potential of the person in front of me – often a potential the person herself doesn’t yet see. It is the ability to keep our focus on what is most important – the highest values, desires, and purpose of this unique, wondrous soul. (Sometimes, in my delight at who you are, I may even wax poetic!)
My approach is varied. When I work with clients I draw on my 30 years of study, training, and practice, and use many different skills, tools, techniques, and dimensions of understanding.
In fact, my clients often call me “one stop shopping.”
You can experience this for yourself by trying one of my Laser Sessions.
Depending on your need, I may:
- ask probing questions to help you gain clarity about your passion and purpose in life;
- brainstorm with you to come up with viable career options;
- help you develop an action plan of doable steps and keep you accountable;
- work with your “inner parts” to understand the conflicting desires or fears that keep you stuck, and then heal them;
- use EFT or other body-mind techniques to help process an emotional issue;
- use PSYCH-K or other techniques to help you dissolve a limiting belief.
I may also lead an individual or group in a guided visualization to relax and contact their inner wisdom. Sometimes we explore deep spiritual questions. Sometimes I feel called to share what I’ve learned about the pitfalls we all run into, growing up human.
I may also help someone craft a letter or application (being a writer/editor is an added perk I offer).
I may even look at a client’s art work and help her define her creative goals.
Oh, and I musn’t forget my role as an Internet marketing advisor! I’ve helped clients start websites and get oriented to the huge potential for prospering in an online business, which is one of my recent enthusiasms.
So that’s the scoop on what you may encounter if you decide to dance with me in any of the forms this beautiful co-creative dance may take.
I look forward to discovering and celebrating YOUR soul’s beauty and purpose!
